Yes. You pay $9.99 once for a lifetime license — no subscription, no renewals and no per-minute transcription fees. Updates are free.
How do I receive my license?
Immediately after checkout your license key is shown on screen and emailed to you. Paste it into the app under Settings → License.
Can I try AI Subtitle Studio before I buy?
Yes. Download the app and use the YouTube Transcript screen, Embed and the free subtitle Tools (Shift Timing, Shift a Section, Color, Position and Clean Up) without a license, translate with credits, or use the free online tools in your browser. The license unlocks transcription, extraction, sync, format conversion, workflows, and translation with your own DeepSeek key.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Contact us within 14 days of purchase and we'll make it right — see our refund policy in the Terms of Service.
Which computers does it run on?
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and macOS 12 or newer on Apple Silicon (M1–M4). One license can be active on up to 3 devices at the same time.
Can I move my license to a new computer?
Yes. Deactivate the license in the app on the old machine (or from the license portal) and activate it on the new one.
Do I need to pay for AI usage?
Transcription and subtitle syncing run locally on your computer, so they're unlimited and free. AI translation calls DeepSeek's cloud API using your own free API key — DeepSeek bills usage directly at their own low rates, with no markup from us. If you'd rather not set up a key, you can pay per file with translation credits instead.
Which payment methods do you accept, and do I get an invoice?
Checkout is handled by Stripe and accepts major cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Stripe emails you a receipt and invoice, and you can enter a promo code at checkout if you have one.
